Robert Haldane Smith, Baron Smith of Kelvin (born 08 August 1944) is a Scottish businessman, a life peer, former BBC National Governor for Scotland and chair of the Broadcasting Council for Scotland.[1] He was introduced as a cross-bench peer in the House of Lords on Monday 14 July 2008 with the title The Lord Smith of Kelvin.

He was chairman of Scottish-based engineering company The Weir Group from 2002 until the end of 2013.
