Richard Seeber, MEP

Richard Seeber (born 15 January 1962, Innsbruck) is an MEP from the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) - Ursula Stenzel List.

Water activity

As a member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Richard Seeber was the Rapporteur of a report 'On addressing the challenge of water scarcity and droughts in the European Union' (2008/2074(INI)). This report was a response to the 2007 European Commission report 'Addressing the challenge of Water Scarcity and Droughts in the European Union'. Mr Seeber is listed as one of the main actors in founding the water think tank, the European Water Partnership.

Richard Seeber also helped develop, alongside others like the European Water Partnership, the European Water Vision.

On November 5th 2008 he was a keynote speaker at the Friends of Europe event 'Saving Europe's Water: Its Place in the EU's Green Strategy'.
