Rachel Whetstone

Rachel Whetstone is Vice President, Global Communications & Public Affairs for Google, which she joined in 2005, 'after 15 years advising senior politicians and FTSE companies on their strategic communications.'[1] Whetstone is a former conservative party operative, close to David Cameron, the partner PR operative and Tory speechwritier Steve Hilton.

Cameron launched his campaign for the Tory leadership at Policy Exchange in 2005. Rachel Whetstone, the well-connected Conservative and partner of Steve Hilton, Cameron's strategist, is one of the thinktank's trustees.[2]
