Philip Bowman[1]

Philip Bowman was appointed Chief Executive of Scottish Power on 16 January 2006.

He was chief executive of Allied Domecq from 1999 to July 2005, previously group finance director from December 1998 to July 1999.

From 1985 to 1995 he was with Bass/Six Continents, where he was Chief Financial Officer and then Chief Executive, of Bass Taverns.


He has been chairman of Liberty plc, chairman of Coral Eurobet, and non-executive director of BSkyB. [2]

Currently, he is senior independent director of Burberry Group plc and also non-executive director of Scottish & Newcastle.

He also has an MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.[3]
