Max Taylor

Maxwell Taylor is Professor of International Relations at the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV) at the University of St. Andrews. Prior to that, he was Professor of Applied Psychology at University College Cork, Ireland from 1983 to 2006.

Taylor joined St. Andrews in 2006 and is now a board member of the Terrorism Studies Programme Board. He oversees the E-Learning course in terrorism which was developed with the corporate event and publications "powerhouse" Informa Group. He is also an associate editor of the journal Terrorism and Political Violence which is published by the Informa Group, and co-edited by CSTPV director Alex Schmid.

Taylor's colleague at Cork John Horgan also joined CSTPV in 2006. Back in 1999 the two men had organised a terrorism conference at Cork called the Future Developments in Terrorism Conference, which was supported by then head of CSTPV Paul Wilkinson and the founding editor of Terrorism and Political Violence David Rapoport.[1]
