Mary MacLeod

Mary MacLeod is a British Conservative Party politician, who has been the MP for Brentford and Isleworth since the 2010 general election. She previously worked in business consulting, and was a policy advisor to Queen Elizabeth II.

Macleod is private parliamentary secretary to Maria Miller, the UK Culture Secretary.

In April 2014 during an interview with Sky News Macleod admitted to sending text message to Conservative backbenchers that claimed the culture secretary was victim of a "witch-hunt" over her expenses.

The text said: "I believe there is a media witch-hunt on Maria due to Leveson. How do you feel about it? Happy to answer any questions you may have She would really appreciate your support. Many thanks Mary." [1]
