Kerstin Westphal (born 11 September 1962, Hamburg) is an MEP for Germany from Social Democratic Party of Germany.

  • Trained in child care in Scheinfeld (1980-1982); intermediate vocational course, Würzburg (1982-1983); trained as a nursery teacher and care worker in Schweinfurt (1988-1990). Traineeships at kindergartens and child day care centres, at Heuchelhof All-day School, Falkenhof Youth Centre and institutions for people with multiple disabilities. Children's nurse at St Josefs-Stift Eisingen GmbH (1984-1988); care worker at St Josefs-Stift Eisingen GmbH (1991-2005).
  • Representative of the Franconia district on the Federal Women's Committee of the Young Socialists (1985-1990); vice-chair, Bavaria regional executive of the Young Socialists (1988-1994); vice-chair, Social Democratic Women's working party in Lower Franconia (1996-1998); vice-chair, Schweinfurt/Kitzingen area SPD (1996-1998); chair, Schweinfurt Central SPD (1999-2003).
