Keith Oates is a former non-executive director of Diageo before retiring at the 2004 AGM, he was also Senior Advisor to Coutts Bank, Monaco, Deputy chair of Marks and Spencer PLC before 1999, a BBC Governor, and Non-Executive Director of BT PLC;
