Preventing Violent Extremism

The Karimia Institute is party to the Preventing Violent Extremism agenda and is in receipt of a total of £115,634 under the following PVE channels:

1. Community Leadership Fund [4][5]
2. Challenge and Innovation Fund [6]
3. Preventing Violent Extremism Pathfinder Fund [7]

The PVE funding regarding Challenge and Innovation Fund and Preventing Violent Extremism Pathfinder Fund have been directed toward the Bobbersmill Community Centre (where the offices of Karimia Institute are physically based), and Radio Dawn (also located in Bobbersmill Community Centre).

Karimia Institute also have access to additional funding of £37,594, which was given to the National Centre for Citizenship and the Law, but work in collaboration with Karimia Institute in setting up de-radicalisation workshops for 10-14 year old Muslim children at the Bobbersmill Community Centre[8]
