John Watson is a former Conservative MP.

He was MP for Skipton from 1979 to 1983, and for Skipton and Ripon from 1983 to 1987.[1]

Assistant to Edward Heath 1970; Conservative MP Skipton 1979; President British Youth Council 1980; Chairman British Atlantic Group of Young Political Leaders 1982; lost seat 1987; Leeds Development Corporation 1988; Bradford City Challenge 1992; Bradford Community NHS Trust 1996.[2]

Between 1996 and 2004 he was a Director of the Yorkshire Building Society, becoming the Society’s Vice Chairman in 2000.[3]
