The Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses is a defence and security think-tank in New Delhi. The institute was founded in 1965 on the initiative of then Indian Defence Minister Shri Yeshwantrao Chavan. The institute's current president is A. K. Antony, who is also the current Minister of Defence. Funding is provided by the Indian Ministry of Defence.[1]
