Views

Following the lockdown in Brussels a week after attacks by extremists in Paris, Dewinter tweeted:

[#]BrusselsLockdown No restaurants, no theaters, no pubs... #Brussels is already an islamic city under #sharia rule!citiesagainstislamisation…
#Brussels '300 meters from EU parliament you find a salafist mosque financed by Saoudi Arabia. Should I say more? (25 November 2015)
For every European being killed by a refugee/terrorist we should deport a open borders-politician to Islamic State. (24 November 2015)
[#]Brussels , jihad-capital of #Europe, another multicultural success story. Thx to @GuyVerhofstadt[2] (22 November 2015)

In an interview in Hungary he said:

"Migration is the trojan horse of terrorism" [3]

Controveries

In 2012 his then 19-year-old daughter An-Sofie posed in a bikini and Islamic headdress in a campaign in a 'shocking poster for the Vlaams Belangparty’s campaign against Islamization and discrimination of women using the slogan: ‘Freedom or Islam? Dare to choose.’ This campaign was in collaboration with the organisation “Vrouwen Tegen Islamisering” (ie, “Women against Islamization”).
