Derek Lovelock is the chief executive of Mamas & Papas.
Career
From 1972 to 1986 Lovelock held various positions at clothes shop C&A. In 1985 he was the appointed as the main board director at retail business Storehouse PLC; in 1992 the CEO of Sears Clothing Ltd; CEO of Oasis Stores Ltd from 1999 to 2004; chief executive of Mosaic Fashions from 2001 to 2008 and executive chairman of Aurora Fashions from 2009 to 2014.[1]
In August 2014 Lovelock was appointed interim chief executive at nursery retailer Mamas & Papas, following private equity firm BlueGem's acquisition of majority stake of the brand.[2]
Letter to the Telegraph
On 1 April 2015 Lovelock was one of 103 business leaders who wrote to the Telegraph praising the British Conservative Party's economic policies and claiming a Labour government would 'threaten jobs and deter investment' in the UK.[3]
