Defence Secretariat 10 (DS10) was a Division within the Ministry of Defence during the 1970s responsible for providing policy advice to Ministers and military staff concerning the Army’s involvement in Northern Ireland during the Troubles and for playing a liaison role between the MoD and the Foreign and Home Offices.[1]

DS10 was formed in November 1971 and was ultimately re-absorbed by Defence Secretariat 6 in 1979.[1]
