Sir David Pepper was the head of GCHQ from 2003 to 2008.

Pepper joined the advisory board of defence company Thales UK in September 2009 [1], and also served as an adviser to Deloitte LLP from 2008-2010. Cite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag

  • Thales UK - Advisory Board, September 2009. Approved by ACOBA "Approved subject to the condition that, for 12 months from his last day of service, he should not be personally involved in lobbying UK Government Ministers or Crown servants, including Special Advisers, on behalf of his new employer".[2]
  • Defence Strategy & Solutions LLP - Strategic Adviser, July 2009. Approved by ACOBA "subject to a waiting period of 12 months from his last day in post and the condition that, for two years the same date, he should not be personally involved in lobbying the UK Security & Intelligence Agencies on behalf of his new employer".[2]
  • Consultant, SNC-Lavalin, June 2010. Was given "unconditional approval" by ACOBA to take up the role.[3]
