David Drew is a British Labour Party politician who was the member of parliament for Stroud from 1997 to 2010.

Having failed to be re-elected in the 2010 election, Drew was given a 'golden goodbye' payoff of £54,403.

This re-settlement payment has recently come under question however, following the recall of Drew to the party. He will stand as the Labour Party candidate for Stroud once again, in the May 2015 general election despite this significant payoff just five years ago. [1]
