Citigate Communications Ltd. is a PR firm which is owned by communication conglomerate Huntsworth Formed in January 1988, with 35 people, Citigate grew to an organisation with more than 350 staff, operating from offices in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Northampton, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast, New York, San Francisco, Johannesburg, Durban, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Pre-tax profits of Citigate in the five years to September 30 1996 grew consistently from £403,000 to about £2.15m. Earnings per share over this period rose from £1.17 to about £3.90 per share.

Citigate Communications Group was a diversified communications and marketing group specialising in -

  • financial and corporate public relations, investor relations and public affairs
  • corporate and financial literature design and corporate identity
  • contract publishing
  • financial and corporate advertising, direct marketing and financial services marketing.

In 1997, Incepta Group plc acquired all the share capital in Citigate.

In 2000, Citigate was awarded a sixteen-month contract of £90,000 to undertake press and publicity work for the Agriculture and Environment Biotechnology Commission (AEBC). In a related field, Citigate also undertook work into the public perception of the Human Genetics Commission, the UK Government's advisory body on new developments in human genetics.[1] Citigate has also worked with Jet ConocoPhillips fuel suppliers, .
