Biography

According to Edelman's website:

Chris Rumfitt is managing director of Edelman’s UK public affairs practice and specialises in complex issues management challenges in sectors including energy, transport, property, construction and infrastructure.
He advises a wide range of companies including property developer Capital & Counties, Balfour Beatty, Capital Shopping Centres and Farrell & Partners. He has also done a considerable amount of work in the energy sector, in particular advising E.ON on high profile issues around nuclear new build.
Before joining Edelman, Chris spent the previous five years as Head of External Communications at Network Rail, where he led that high-profile company’s public affairs, media relations, crisis communications and community relations activity.
Earlier in his career he worked in the Press Office at 10 Downing Street for Prime Minister Tony Blair, for the Labour Party in the 1997 General Election campaign.
