Dr Catherine Bell is a former minister at the Department for Trade and Industry.

Career

Catherine Bell joined the Department for Trade and Industry in 1975, working her way up to acting permanent secretary, between March 2005 and October 2005.[1][2]

In 2006 she was publicly questioned for her decision to advise Patricia Hewitt, the then Trade Secretary, not to hand MG Rover a £105 million government loan before its collapse.
