Care UK is a private health and social care company operating in the UK. Services it provides include: running 12 GP Led Healthcare Centres, 4 Out of Hours services, 2 NHS Walk-in Centres, 10 NHS Treatment Centres, providing surgery and diagnostic tests for over 37,000 patients each year. It also runs 57 nursing and / or residential care homes.[1]

It is well placed to benefit from the Conservative Party promise to make it easier for private providers to perform more NHS work.

Political connections and lobbying

In November 2009, John Nash made a donation of £21,000 to then shadow health secretary Andrew Lansley, now Secretary of State for Health. Nash and his wife Caroline are regular Tory donors who have given £107,000 to the party since 2006.[2]

Care UK employs lobbying firms Portland PR[3] and PLMR. [4]
