Brian Francois the chairman of the Friends of the Metropolitan Police Heritage Charity (FOMPHC). He served for 30 years in the Metropolitan Police, and led Operation Hatton monitoring the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE) until his retirement in 1997.[1]

He is also the (half-)brother of Mark Francois, the Conservative Party MP for Rayleigh and Wickford since 2010.
