The 60th Bilderberg Meeting in Chantilly, Virginia, USA began on 31 May 2012 and was due to close on 3 June 2012.[1]

According to a press release issued ahead of the conference, it was due to "deal mainly with political, economic and societal issues like Transatlantic Relations, Evolution of the Political Landscape in Europe and the US, Austerity and Growth in Developed Economies, Cyber Security, Energy Challenges, the Future of Democracy, Russia, China and the Middle East."[2]
