Anas Sarwar was the Labour Party member of Parliament (MP) for Glasgow Central from 2010 to 2015.[1]

Sarwar lost his seat in the 2015 general election to the Scottish National Party's Alison Thewliss by 7.662 votes.[2]

Personal life

He is the son of the former Labour MP Mohammad Sarwar.[3]
