American Friends of the Reut Institute (AFRI) is a non-profit organization based in the United States that primarily funds Tel Aviv-based Israeli think tank the Reut Institute.

Its Federal ID number is 20-3585888.

Activities

AFRI is the Reut Institute's main source of funds. Its website states that it will also consider grant applications from other organisations that share its mission "to strengthen the vision of the state of Israel as a Jewish, democratic and prosperous state."[1]

AFRI describes the Reut Institute as "currently focused on national security and particularly on the challenge of dealing with the Palestinians".[2]

History

According to the Electronic Intifada website, AFRI's public filings show that it sent almost $2 million to the Reut Institute in 2006 and 2007.[3]
