The All-Party Parliamentary Group for the UK Aluminium Industry is run by the Aluminium Federation. According to the parliamentary website its remit is:

to increase the UK parliament's awareness of the aluminium industry; to visit plants in the UK and debate issues where legislation affects the aluminium industry.[1]

It is interesting that though much of the remaining UK aluminium industry is based in Scotland there are only 2 members of the APPG representing Scottish constituencies (Alan Beith and Brian Donohoe, and not those where the industry is based (a primary smelter and associated hydro-scheme operates in Lochaber, Fort William).
