Alistair Burt

Alistair Burt is a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Conservative Party. He represents the constituency for North East Bedfordshire. He was elected to parliament in the June 1983 General Election with a majority of 12,251 votes.[1]

Burt was a Foreign & Commonwealth Office minister prior to leaving the Government in October 2013.[2]

He took up the role of Non-Executive Director of President Energy Plc, a gas exploration and production company, in February 2015.

In June 2014 Mr Burt was also allowed to set up an independent consultancy by the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments and took commissions from both Global Partners Governance Practice Ltd (GPG) and Global GSA Group.
