==Background==
Vicci Stein is a Board Member at the [[National Jewish Assembly (NJA)]].

After she retired, she volunteered with [[Jewish Care Scotland|Jewish Care]]. Then in 2015 she and her husband [[Sammy Stein|Sammy]] founded [[Glasgow Friends of Israel]]. She ran [[IsrAction Day]] in Glasgow that year and was on the planning team for the two successful [[International Shalom Festival]]s at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016 and 2017. In 2021 she started an appeal on behalf of the Glasgow Jewish community for the Afghan refugees who were being resettled in Scotland.
