:Stuart Popham was the Senior Partner, worldwide, of [[Clifford Chance]] LLP from 2003 until 31 December 2010. He chaired the firm's Partnership Council, the supervisory board of the worldwide firm. While being responsible for a number of client relationships, he had particular responsibility for Clifford Chance's reputation and values.

:Stuart is a member of the International Advisory Board for the [[CBI]] and Chairman and Vice-Chairman (since 2007) of the [[CBI London Council]]. Stuart chairs [[TheCityUK]] the newly created body to promote financial services, is a member of the London Promotional Council and is an International Envoy for London. He is a trustee of the Tower Hamlets Business Education Partnership. Stuart is also a member of the business Advisory Forum of the [[Saïd Business School]], [[Oxford University]] and also sits on the Council of [[The Royal Institute of International Affairs]] (Chatham House). He is a Patron of the [[Whitehall Industry Group]].

Popham joined Clifford Chance in 1976 and was admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales in 1978. He was based in the Singapore office between 1981-1984, then became a partner based in London from 1984. Later he became Head of London Finance and Securities Group (1992-1995) and Leader of Global Finance Practice (1999-2002).
