In January 2009 [[Lord Snape]] was one of four peers to have allegedly accepted money from undercover ''Sunday Times'' reporters, who were posing as business lobbyists, in return for amending legislation. Two peers, [[Lord Taylor of Blackburn]] and [[Peter Truscott | Lord Truscott]] were suspended for their role in what became know as the '[[erminegate]]' affair.
