The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) was founded in 1920 and describes itself as 'a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization dedicated to promoting a greater understanding of how the economy works. NBER's main office is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They also have offices in Palo Alto, California, and New York City.
