In the evening of the same day a meeting was chaired by [[Maurice Links]] the president of the [[Glasgow Commission]] 'for engaged and younng married couples' at which 'it was decided to form a local fellowship of the JNF.'<ref name="newJNFgroups"/> Sixty people were reported as having joined the new group.<ref name="newJNFgroups"/>
