According to Salesfuel's Corus PLC biographies as of circa 2004:

:Gerhard Buddenbaum was appointed Aluminium Division Director and a member of the Executive Committee of [[Corus]] from 1 October 2003. Born in November 1941 in Bremen, Germany, he entered an apprenticeship at an international trading company in 1961. From 1968 to 1971 he was Marketing/Product Manager for [[Kaiser Aluminium]] Europe where he progressed to become Sales & Marketing Director, 1975 - 1991 (from 1987 Hoogovens Aluminium). He became Managing Director, Aluminium Rolled Products, [[Hoogovens Aluminium]] in 1991 and held the same position until 2003 following the merger of [[Koninklijke Hoogovens]] and [[British Steel]] in 1999 to form [[Corus]]. Mr Buddenbaum is President of the [[German Fabricated Aluminium Association]] (Fachverband Aluminiumhalbzeug); Vice Chairman of the [[German Aluminium Association]] (GDA); Board Member of the [[German Metals Association]] (WVM); Executive Committee Member of the EAA ([[European Aluminium Association]]) and Honorary Consul of the Netherlands in Germany.
