== Background ==
The ‘‘‘European Nuclear Energy Forum’’’ (ENEF) is a European Union body that brings together the EU’s 27 EU Member State government, European Institutions including the European Parliament and the European Economic and Social Committee, the nuclear industry, electricity consumers and civil society groups, to discuss nuclear energy.

The EU says the ENEF is a “unique platform for a broad discussion, free of any taboos, on transparency issues as well as the opportunities and risks of nuclear energy”. It was set up in 2007, after a summit on climate change, and meets twice a year.<ref> [http://ec.europa.eu/energy/nuclear/forum/forum_en.htm European Nuclear Energy Forum], EU website, undated accessed 14 March 2013</ref>

==Working groups==
Three ENEF working groups have been established, on risks, transparency and opportunities. Two are run by senior nuclear industry figures.
