He acted as the &amp;quot;operational Duty Director for Serco Home Affairs Division as a Single Point of Contact for operational issues (inc. major incidents) and liaising with Gold Command within Ministry of Justice.&amp;quot; He won the &amp;quot;South Yorkshire Cluster (3 prisons) and HMP Northumberland cluster (2 prisons) as part of Phase 2 Market Test Prisons at Stage 1, valued at over £650m. Procurement rules prohibited both clusters being awarded to a single provider so proceeded to preferred bidder status with the South Yorkshire cluster.&amp;quot;	&lt;br /&gt;
