==Career==

She was appointed deputy circuit administrator to The [[Court Service]] in 1991.<ref name="LI"/>

In 1993 she went back to the [[Lord Chancellor's Department]] as head of court service agency team, and in 1994 she moved back to The [[Court Service]] first as HR director, director of civil business in 1998 and director of operational policy in 1999.<ref name="LI"/>

In 2002 she was appointed change director at the [[Department for Constitutional Affairs]].<ref name="LI"/>

In January 2005 she was drafted in as interim CEO of The [[Royal Parks]].<ref name="LI"/>

In May 2005 she was appointed director of customer contact and processing at [[HM Revenue & Customs]] and then director general of personal tax in 2006.<ref name="LI"/>
