Zoe Thorogood

Zoe Thorogood was a special adviser at the Department for Communities and Local Government for Eric Pickles from January 2013 to May 2015. [1] Pickles appointed Thorogood to focus on media, she replaced Pickles' previous special adviser Giles Kenningham, who was drafted in to head up communication at the Conservative campaign headquarters.

As special adviser to Pickles, Thorogood was paid an annual salary of £64,500. [2]

Background

Thorogood previously worked at Luther Pendragon as associate director, where she focused on global communications strategy. [3] Between 2008 and 2011, Thorogood was head of broadcasting for the Conservative Party post 2010 General Election and was also deputy head of broadcasting during the winning election campaign. In 2003 Thorogood took on the role as a news editor at GMTV, a job at which she worked for five years. [3]
