Zoe Thorogood was appointed as special adviser at the Department for Communities and Local Government for Eric Pickles in January 2013. [1] Pickles appointed Thorogood to focus on media, she replaced Pickles' previous spad Giles Kenningham, who was drafted in to head up communication at the Conservative campaign headquarters.

Background

Thorogood worked at Luther Pendragon as associate director, where she focused on global communications strategy. [2] Between 2008 and 2011, Thorogood was head of broadcasting for the Conservative Party post General Election and was also deputy head of broadcasting during the winning election campaign. In 2003 Zoe took on the role as a news editor at GMTV, a job which she worked at for five years. [2]
