Veena Hudson

Veena Hudson is a former UK government special adviser, now head of public affairs and policy at Balfour Beatty.

Hudson was deputy PM Nick Clegg's senior special adviser for Home and Foreign Affairs from July 2013 and held special adviser roles for Defra, DfT and CLG from January 2012.

She was previously head of media and stakeholder relations at Monitor, the independent regulator of NHS Foundation Trusts (June 2010 – January 2012).

Hudson has also worked as head of public affairs for ACCA; as a parliamentary and government relations adviser for the UK Environment Agency (2005-08); and as a parliamentary researcher from 2003-04 for Clegg when he was a European Parliament MEP. [1]

As a special adviser to Clegg Hudson is paid a salary of £65,000 annually. [2]
