Uriel Reichman (born Tel Aviv, 4 July 1942 [1]) is an Israeli professor of law and former politician. He founded the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya, a private college with strong connections with the military and intelligence in Israel.
Reichman was a founder of the Shinui party, and was chosen to head its presidium in May 2004. He left in late 2005 to join Ariel Sharon's Kadima party as its candidate for Education Minister.[2] He resigned from the Knesset in April 2006 after Sharon's successor Ehud Olmert gave the education portfolio to the Labor Party.[3]
