Tony Danker

Tony Danker is a former special adviser to the HM Treasury. He now works for The Guardian as director of the Guardian Media Group, now known as the Guardian News and Media management team (GNM), with the responsibility of the broader development of the GNM. Danker most recently led the successful launch of Guardian Australia and continues to lead the International, Rights and Syndication teams. [1]

Background

Before joining the Guardian, Danker worked as a special adviser to the HM Treasury, working with Liam Byrne from 2008 to 2010, he focused on public sector reform and the economy.

Danker was director of communications at public sector consultancy McKinsey & Company from 1998 to 2004. [2]
