Teresa Pearce has been the Labour Party Member of Parliament for Erith and Thamesmead since May 2010. [1] In the 2015 general election she retained her seat with a majority of 9,525. [2]

After the Labour Party leadership elections in September 2015, Pearce was appointed to Shadow Minister for Communities and Local Government, taking up a further brief in regard to Housing, a priority under Jeremy Corbyn's new-look shadow cabinet. [3]
