Susie Squire is the head of corporate communications and PR at Woolworths in South Africa.

From July 2012 to October 2012 she was the head of press to the Conservative Party and then until December 2013 she was press secretary to the British Prime Minister.[1]

Squire is a former head of communications at the Stockholm Network and former political director and campaign director of the TaxPayers' Alliance pressure group.[2] In 2010 she became a special adviser to Iain Duncan Smith at the Department for Work and Pensions before moving on to become head of communications for the Conservative Party.[3]

2007-2008 Stockholm Network

Susie Squire joined the Stockholm Network(SN) in February 2007 following an internship, she later became 'Network Development Manager' for the think tank, worked there until 2008 when she joined the TaxPayers' Alliance.[4] In 2007 she attended the Centre for the New Europe event entitled the 'Capitalist Ball'.[5]

2008-2010 TaxPayers' Alliance

In December 2008 Susie Squire was asked by Nick Ferrari on his LBC Breakfast Radio Show if the TaxPayers Alliance was 'secretly Conservative?', she responded by saying:

I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I can’t have that – that’s outrageous! That’s just absolutely outrageous!' adding 'we’re totally independent, we talk to everyone. I mean, God, I was in Wales at the end of last week, giving evidence on MPs’ expenses to a cross-party independent panel in the Welsh Assembly. We talk to everyone who wants to talk to us. We produce research that goes out to many MPs, cross-party, that goes out to journalists. We don’t have a party preference. Yes of course we have advisors and we have a board – any think tank worth its salt does. We’ll talk to anyone.'[6]

Squire left the TaxPayers Alliance in May 2010 to work as an adviser to the Conservative Party's Iain Duncan Smith.[7]
