Surrey Satellite Technologies Ltd (SSTL) is a UK-based spin-off company founded by the University of Surrey that primarily builds and operates satellites. It is now owned by Airbus Defence and Space Group; an aeronautical and weapons manufacture with an annual turnover of billions of pounds.
