Steven Paterson is the former Scottish National Party (SNP) member of parliament for Stirling. He lost his seat at the June 2017 snap UK general election, defeated by Conservative Stephen Kerr MP by 148 votes.

In the May 2015 UK general election Paterson secured a 45 per cent share of the vote and a majority of 10,480. [1]
