Stephen O'Brien has been the Conservative Member of Parliament for Eddisbury since 1999.

Parliament

O'Brien has won elections, winning 44.8 percent of the vote in 1999, and achieving over 45 percent since.[1]

Since being elected to parliament, he has held positions of Opposition Whip (2001-2002), Shadow Paymaster General (2002-2003), Shadow Financial Secretary (2002-2002), Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills (2003-2005), Shadow Minister (Education) (2005-2005), Shadow Minister (Health) (2005-2010) and Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for International Development) (2010-12).[2]

Donations

Between 2004 and 2009 O'Brien received £195,000.00 in donations from hedge fund manager and Conservative peer, Stanley Fink in six separate donations.[3]
