Stephen Lotinga was appointed senior adviser to the Liberal Democrats on public services and health in 2014.
From lobbyist to government adviser
Lotinga was a senior adviser to the Liberal Democrats on public services and health before he worked at lobbying firm Bell Pottinger as an account director following the 2010 General Election. In January 2014 he became managing director of public affairs at another lobbying firm, Edelman. [1]
Lotinga was heavily involved in the Liberal Democrats before the 2010 General Election, with roles including senior health adviser, culture, media and sport adviser, researcher to Don Foster (MP), as well as research assistant to Tom Brake (MP). Lotinga during this period also worked as a prevention policy support officer to the Youth Justice board. [2]
Education
studied a Masters in politics at Manchester University from 2003 – 2004. Prior to this Lotinga gained a BA in politics and economics from Keele University
