Dr Stephen Dunn is the CEO of West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.

Career

Dunn began his career at the University of Leeds in 1994 as a research and teaching assistant and then as a senior subwarden.

In 1999 he joined the UK Department of Health as an economic adviser, then senior strategy advisor; in 2000 he was appointed senior economic advisor at HM Treasury; in 2002 he moved back to the Department of Health as deputy director of the Foundation Trust; head of white paper policy at the DoH in 2004 and then senior strategy advisor in 2006.

In 2007 he was appointed the director of provider development at NHS East and director of policy and strategy at NHS Midlands and East in 2011. During this time he co-founded the Strategic Projects Team who work on creating plans to implement changes in the healthcare sector.[1]

In 2012 he joined the NHS Trust Development Authority as the director of delivery and development.

He is currently a visiting professor at the University of the West of England and The London School of Economics and Political Science and the CEO of West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.[2]
