Shailesh Vara has been the Conservative Party MP for North West Cambridgeshire since 2010.[1] In the 2015 general election Vara was re-elected with a majority of 19,795. [2]

In October 2013, Vara was appointed as parliamentary under secretary at the Ministry of Justice.[3]
