Scotland Europa

Scotland Europa state that "Scotland Europa is an alliance that promotes Scotland's interests to the key institutions of the European Union and to the regions of Europe.

Representing more than 60 members drawn from a broad range of interests including business, education, local government, trades union and voluntary sectors, the diversity of interest across its membership gives Scotland Europa an influential voice in European Affairs[1]".

Heavily interlocked with Scottish Enterprise Scotland Europa's Chief executive Donald Macinness is on the advisory council of the European Policy Centre alongside such powerful and well-connected networkers as Peter Sutherland, Jamie Shea of Nato and Lord Kerr of Kinlochard[2].

Services

  • EU intelligence, interpretation, analysis and early warning of EU policy developments including high level briefings and seminars on European policy;
  • Guidance on influencing and shaping EU policies and legislation;
  • Fostering contacts with the EU institutions and providing pathways to key decisionmakers;
  • Strategic EU funding advice and support in sourcing trans-national partners;
  • European strategic networking; and
  • Conference facilities, meeting rooms and office space in Brussels.
