Scientists for the Public Understanding of Radiation (SPUR) is a group that aims 'to dispel some of the myths and fears surrounding radiation and to suggest a sea change in international attitudes towards it'.

The group includes including Professor Wade Allison, of Oxford, a SONE member. [1]
